What we collect

We collect anonymized analytics on which pieces are read and for how long, using a self-hosted analytics tool that does not set cookies or identify visitors. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar services.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Sunday note, we store your email address with a single-purpose service in order to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue. We do not share or sell email addresses.

Cookies and local storage

We use a single piece of local browser storage to remember whether you have seen our cookie banner. We do not set any tracking cookies.

Logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs (IP, time, URL) for up to thirty days for security purposes. We do not attempt to identify visitors from these logs.

Your rights

If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to request the data we hold about you and the right to ask us to delete it. Write to editor@common-hours.co.

Children

Common Hours is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
